Aside from being a coffee addict, I’m addicted to the news.
As a sixth grader with high aspirations of becoming the next Katie Couric, my dream switched to print journalism after starting to work for my high school newspaper.
I’ve been addicted ever since.
Currently, I am the online editor for Washtenaw Now— a weekly Digital First Media newspaper in Washtenaw County. There, I manage several websites, utilize social media, contribute to the DFM Michigan data journalism, am part of a statewide digital team and work with a great group of people.
I graduated from Oakland University in April 2013 and aspire to be the best communicator I can. After all, I love everything about this field — from designing pages, telling stories, taking pictures and making videos to writing for the web and utilizing social media and new tools.
As someone who loves to learn, I am also taking classes on CSS and computer programming.
